Tirisin na yan!
I’m sure that is what the Filipinos who will watch the Pacquiao-Cotto fight would shout. Cotto sounds like kuto, the Filipino word for human lice. What better way to get rid of a kuto other than squish it?
This November 15, Sunday Philippine time, crime rates will drop as Filipinos take a pause from day to day activity and stay glued to their TV sets to watch the Pacquiao-Cotto fight. Will Paquiao be the first boxer to win world titles in seven different weight classes? People back home are expecting much from Pacquiao.
Pacquiao has gone a long way from being a skinny promdi who did odd jobs in Manila to help his mom Dionisia feed the family. Pacquiao is currently on the cover of Time Magazine Asia and God knows how much money he has amassed over the years.
His mom Dionisia is equally popular too. She now has a movie and several product endorsements. She has even “killed” Imelda Papin in one of her interviews. A classic rags to riches story. Never in her wildest dreams had she imagined wearing P6M Cartier jewelry much less own them. Oh how Pacquiao pampered her and she deserves it. Life must have been hard for her when her husband left them. Let her enjoy the rewards of being a good mom.
As to the upcoming fight, I hope Pacquiao wins so that his next fight would be against Mayweather. I want Pacquiao to beat the life out of that arrogant boxer. After that, Pacquiao can retire a wealthy man and still in his peak.
Go Pacquiao! Tirisin na yan!

Pacquiao should just stick to boxing. No more singing on American national TV, please.
