I know it’s hair raising. A Twilight Filipino Version? What could ABS-CBN be thinking? The rights to do the Twilight tv version Takipsilim was allegedly bought by ABS-CBN for $1 million. They could be banking on the novel and movie’s popularity to be a hit among Filipinos.
I wonder if they can pull it off considering all the negative reactions from Twilight fans. There’s even a website petitioning to stop the local adaptation of Twilight.
However, there are bloggers who believe that this is just a hoax. There was no official news from the ABS-CBN and looking at the poster that is spreading on the net it’s obvious that it’s been Photoshopped.
The supposedly unofficial cast of Takipsilim includes:

actually, the movie is so-not-good that’s why i disagree on your plans.. dont mess the movie.. nor the book.. we, twilight fans, are not satisfied with the movie.. that’s why we dont like abscbn to make a filipino version of twilight.. and think about the script!!. if your gonna change the script into tagalog version, it will be so “corny” and BADUY!! yuck!. we love the book that’s why we dont like the book to be ruin anymore.. if your not going to change the script into tagalog and keep the english script we might not like it either cause filipinos are not so good in speaking english.. like they said “nosebleed”!!. if abscbn is trying to prove anything that they are much better than gma, there are other ways to prove it and doesn’t need to be the twilight filipino version. and maybe you should do some local movies like “jose rizal” etc. and if you do the twilight it proves that you have a collonial mentality. and NOBODY WILL GONNA WATCH THE MOVIE BECAUSE WE KNEW THAT IT WILL STINK!! LIKE JACOB!! over my pile of ashes!!. lalangawin lang yan promise.. dont waste your money and time on making the movie that will never ever be a blockbuster movie.. remember time is gold.. please consider our opinion regarding the movie making.. thank you!! ABS-CBN had already dined this news/issue but I suggest they should GO for it will make the Filipino fans happy and would make the station famous but they should stick with the original story and change the cast their not fit with the characters.
