Juseleeno Nobulega Daroose May Have Predicted Philippine Flood

Who in the world is Juseleeno Nobulega Daroose? He has already gained enough popularity to earn him numerous links and blog posts. The guy even has a website and a blog! With all the hype he’s been getting I’m sure his sites receive thousands of visitors and links.
From what I can gather from his websites and articles around the internet, the  Brazilian psychic’s real name is Jucelino Nóbrega da Luz and the Juseleeno Nobulega Daroose is probably a misspelling or a mispronunciation of his name. He’s a teacher and …

The prediction that the Philippines will experience an earthquake has been going around in emails, text, and blogs for quite sometime now. A certain Juseleeno Nobulega Daroose, a Brazilian teacher, predicted that on July 18, 2008 an earthquake of magnitude 8.1 will rock the Philippines.
I saw the Mini Series 10.5 last Saturday on Studio 23 and based on the plot, a scientist has predicted the possible location of the earthquake and it’s magnitude. The idea seemed plausible but a little Googling will lead you to several sites revealing factual errors …

The result of the 2007 Philippine Cities Competitiveness Ranking Program (PCCRP) survey was already released by the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and was presented on 4 July 2008. There are some notable changes in the 2007 PCCRP. The number of surveyed cities increased from only 65 cities (13 Metro, 15 Mid-Sized and 37 Small-Sized Cities) surveyed in 2005 to 90 (20 Metro, 25 Mid-Sized and 45 Small-Sized Cities). The Linkages and Accessibility Driver was removed and merged in Infrastructure in the 2007 study. In the 2005 survey, all …

Iloilo Needs Your Help

The destruction that typhoon Frank/Fengshen brought to Iloilo is by far the worst the province has ever experienced. The flooding was unprecedented and the extent of the damage was unparalleled. Numerous lives had been claimed and many others became homeless.

Latest data from the Provincial Disaster Coordinating Council as of 9am 26 June 2008 show that 124 persons died in Iloilo, 569,142 persons affected, of whom 22,057 were still in evacuation centers. I have Typhoon Frank (international code name: Fengshen) to thank for the misfortune I had since yesterday. I was supposed to go home to Iloilo yesterday morning but lo and behold! Typhoon Frank came lashing out with heavy rains and strong winds that cancelled all boat trips. I found myself stranded in Bacolod City with five boxes of Roli’s Napoleones. No matter how much I love napoleones, five boxes is just overkill. Wait, there’s more. Electricity was cut-off since yesterday morning so was our water supply. Yes, I didn’t have …

The Treasure of Our Heritage

Allow me to wax sentiments. The first time I saw the Probe Team feature “Gintong Pamana”, it made me feel so proud that I cried.

Filipino, Who Are You?

Last June 12 we celebrated the 110th Declaration of Philippine Independence. It was also a commemoration of the lives of the many Filipinos who have fought and died in order for this country to be free from colonialism. The Philippines has been colonized for more than three hundred years by Spain, then by the United States. These colonizers have done a great job in brainwashing us such that some FIlipinos doesn’t even want to be free from them. We even wanted to be like them yet they never really treated us as their equal. They have subjected us to be “Indios” and their “Little Brown Brother”.

Discover Tropical Paradise Palawan

My trip to Palawan was something unplanned. Though going there was on top of a much bigger plan to visit all the provinces in the Philippines, my personal finances forbid such luxury.
