I love rockers. I love their attitude even if I sometimes find their music too loud. Steve Tyler and Mick Jagger are old enough to be my grandfather but they still can probably pull it off wearing tight jeans and tank top. They don’t have excess body fats for one.
Me: Ay, angayan gali si Iñaki mag rocker kay sungad nya daw iya ni Steve Tyler.
Friend: Huo, kag tsura ya daw pung-it ni Mick Jagger.
That my dear friends was how we described Iñaki of Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2. I’m sorry I will not translate. The humor might be lost in translation. Let’s just put it this way. Iñaki will not like it.
We don’t hate him and I think he even sings well compared to the more handsome guys Van and Sen (VaSen for short
). It’s just that he lacks the charisma. He just doesn’t connect with the audience. Sometimes I even pity him for no matter how much energy he gives to his performance, the audience just don’t appreciate it. As he himself observed, maybe only his family and friends applauded him.
He’s lucky he’s safe this week but how long will it take before his luck ran out? We’ll be waiting for that day. I love reality shows but I hate boogers especially if it’s not from my nose.
