Well, you're correct in so far as taking precaution is concerned. As the saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure. But the advice of the DOH that we have to do some "social distancing" may not work to us Filipinos, who always value kinship, closeness and warm family ties.

Fortunately for us, there is only one case yet for swine flue, from the 10 year old girl who arrived from the U.S. but who visited Canada first, before going to the U.S. and coming to the Philippines. One case is not alarming, as one swallow does not make a summer.

At the same time, while we are taking precaution, it does not mean distancing ourselves from friends and acquaintances. Life goes on.

She traveled to the US and Canada. I hope they can update the site especially since the public should know more about H1N1.
